Many of us don’t realize how modern medicine is closely joined with traditional healing practices in remote communities . Amy Greeson began the project in 2006 when she realized that with the destruction of forest and other habitat around the world, we were also potentially losing countless species of plants and animals which had much to offer humanity by way of medical cures and solutions. So she began traveling the world with teams of researchers, collecting material from communities, forming partnerships with similar minded organizations and spreading the word about saving threatened places, people and knowledge.
