We have a new word for the type of films we're discussing in this series, Retraux! A combination of Retro, and Faux, it perfectly describes this week's film, Black Dynamite. An homage to the Blaxploitation era starring Michael Jai White, Black Dynamite is a former CIA agent/Vietnam vet who must clean up the streets and avenge his brother's death. A tight comedy that embraces all the tropes, and flaws, of the genre Black Dynamite is an under appreciated film that deserves a wider audience. We'll touch on the film, the history of Blaxploitation, and more in this episode.
