Not too long ago, the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness – or SC Competes -- released its Logistics Economic Impact Study. According to this new study, the economic impact of the logistics industry on South Carolina is $48 billion. No surprise then that logistics has been called the lifeblood of state commerce in South Carolina. 

The study was completed and presented here by Dr. Joey Von Nessen, a renowned research economist at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.
