We are Just Japanglish hosted by Cliff, a guy from the UK and Yutaro, a guy from Japan.

When you get asked 'How are you?', the standard textbook answer for all English learners around the world would be 'I am fine thank you, and you?' or at least something similar. But when Yutaro visited the US for his year abroad, he encountered this situation but noticed the answer he had in his head may not be exactly right in this situation!? Based on this experience, Cliff also remembers similar dilemma when he first went to the UK. When comparing the west against Japan in particular, the culture of 'small talks' which was the norm in the west does not seem to be the case in Japan.
