Today, we are moving forward with our exposition of Titus. We are still in verse 9 of chapter 1. Last time, we discussed the first half of the verse, that the elder is to cling to the faithful word in accordance with the teaching; and today, we will consider the second half of the verse—that the elder is to cling to the word “so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.”
