The comparison trap... don't worry, we have all fell into it at times. I promise you, even the most confident of musicians have found themselves deep in the grips of questioning themselves and their worth in relation to other artists.
So, what do you when you are caught in the comparison trap? Is it something you find yourself in often? How does it make you feel?
The comparison trap is a really slippery slope to go down, it usually never results in us feeling good about ourselves. Instead we feel minimised, diminished, anxious or defeated.
This episode episode is about diving into the comparison trap to have a real look around and you will be pleased to know I have a few ways for you to think about it which will hopefully make you feel better and get some perspective in your own songwriting.
As with all episodes on this podcast, I want you to listen to this as many times as you need to, in particular the next time you identify you are in that comparison trap, press play and maybe I can help you feel less alone.
Carry on the conversation in our wonderful private community Radical Songwriting. Let’s grow our confidence, skills and excitement together so we can keep making music.

Until then, Be Radical, Make Music!
