As we move closer to the final chapters in Revelation, chapter 18 describes God's destruction of Babylon, which is Satan's governmental, financial and commercial capital. Babylon is the last holdout before the final battle, for Rome is in ruins, and people are being force-marched into Israel to meet their fate in the Battle of Armageddon.
