In this episode, we go over some basic concepts of Afrocuban Folkloric Music.  We explain the various genres and religions, the concept of clave, and we give a breakdown of several specific rhythms.  This is intended to be a supplemental episode to our interview with Sandy Perez (ep24).  The specific rhythms we discuss in this episode are rhythms used in some of the excerpts of Sandy’s music that we play in our interview with him.
