In this episode, you'll hear cockpit recordings of the SAR mission conducted in January 1997 by Orion A9-760 in response to distress beacons from two round-the-world yachtsmen who foundered in high seas in the Southern Ocean as well as the reflections of two QAM volunteers whose RAAF careers qualify them to be caretakers of the QAM Orion - one, Chris Buley, an Aircraft Technician, the other, Peter Scovell, a Flight Engineer.
