Quote: “The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty." — Winston Churchill
Let’s talk about it!
Why do we need motivation?
Without motivation we would not have the need or ability to continue pushing forward in every circumstance we face in life. This can apply to school, work, personal goals, family life, or even in your walk with Christ or your religion.
How do we stay motivated?
In order to stay motivated most of us like to see some sort of progress towards our goals, we want that confirmation that we are moving in the right direction and all things are coming together. However that isn’t always the case.
We ponder what to do when we feel lost & unmotivated.
Personally, I’ve been here more times then not. I know what it’s like to be working towards several goals at once and being overwhelmed that everything isn’t going to get done or accomplished. Ex: I have worked full time in my career while also taking 1-2 online college classes to further my education while still having to maintain motivation in my personal life to keep going with my fitness goals and purpose related goals when it comes to being a creative. Ex: my podcast
It’s not always easy but I try to rely on God and look for the opportunity / lesson in every situation and season. God would not put me in a place he doesn’t want me to lead or work. There’s a reason for everything and that’s something I have to continuously remind myself even when the motivation is not there.
Self motivation relates to emotional intelligence because one cannot be open and willing to perceive different perspectives and emotions from others, when they can’t even understand or stay committed to their own self drive, interpersonal emotions, and goals in life.
