There's no question that the two titan publishing houses Marvel and DC dominate the world of comics, but between the cracks they form there are thousands of writers and artists creating comics books. Independent comic books give voice to talent not yet featured by the major publishers, as well as an outlet for those writers and artists that are too bold or bizarre for mainstream comicdom.
