Reiner catches Ymir fluently reading a foreign language, but as he confronts her the alarm is sounded as titans swarm the castle. The armed scouts begin their defense but they're attacked by the beast titan from afar. Reiner plays the hero inside while the scouts outside are decimated. Surrounded and unarmed the remaining scouts watch as Ymir jumps off the castle transforming into a titan.
