So in a very nutshell as a recap of our last 2 episodes we spoke about topics revolving your next job definition and defining and interacting with decision makers to land your next role smoothly. So let’s jump right in our today’s topic!
So What ‘s visibility? It means being active and on top of mind of decision makers and headhunters, so you can gain ATTENTION and be approached. It works as a LinkedIn reverse engineering tool!
HOW TO CREATE VISIBILITY:
1- Download the list of your executive contacts from LinkedIn that are most relevant to you, you can actually download your contacts list from LinkedIn in an excel sheet and save in your pc/laptop (google search how to do this if you don't know it yet).
2- Visit these profiles (1st), follow them by clicking on the bell symbol so you never miss a notification and what they are up in order to engage with them and no longer be seen as a total stranger!
3- Select the 1st 30 people to start with. Start interacting with their posts.. make positive comments, congratulate them, show your thoughts about the topic while coming across as an expert in that sector or function.
Get that attention right so it can convert in "dividends" (potential interviews) for you! If the decision maker or headhunter which you are commenting on the post is in the process of looking for someone to fulfill a position and by visiting your profile because now you got their attention and curiosity to know who you are, they will then reach out to you.
For this make sure as always that your LinkedIn profile is up to date and "shinning like a diamond", looking really good and representing the AUTHORITY you want to be seen as.
Make sure to have the most compelling photo and value proposition headline.
