In this third episode, we have Maria Freitas, Founder of uMore. Like many around the world, Maria’s family was affected by COVID-19. Her sister became ill and, due to isolation, struggled with her mental health.
Maria and her family felt hopeless that they could not help her, which brought her to build and ground uMore, a tool not only for her sister but all living in isolation. As a founder, Maria thought it is easier to help solve other people's problems when they match your own. uMore was born from the idea that individuals have a vested interest in taking care of their mental health.
