My guest today is Dr Helen Pankhurst CBE!
Helen Pankhurst is a women’s right activist and author of Deeds Not Words, the Story of Women’s Rights, Then and Now. As you may have guessed by her surname, Helen is the great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and the granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst; the leaders of the British Suffragette Movement.
Helen is the senior advisor to CARE International and in 2019 was appointed a CBE for her services to Gender equality. And every year she leads the International Women’s Day March in London!
In this incredible episode, we discuss why it’s so important that we call ourselves feminists, the changes we need in society to reach gender equality, and passing on the baton to our generation!
