Nicholas is a PhD Pre-candidate in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Michigan Ann-Arbor. He is a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) Representative at the University of Michigan where he advocates for LGBTQIA+, Women and POC. in the materials profession. Nicholas additionally serves as a Board Member of the Career Advancement Committee of the Materials Research Society (MRS), and is an active contributor to the Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS), American Society for Metals Intl (ASM Intl), and Materials Science & Technology (MS&T).
