Hey guys, Mariano here!
Brent and I are often asked about developing a solid recall. After all, it's arguably the single most important command that your dog can have in its bag of tricks. Having a reliable recall has saved many a dog from terrible situations. It's sad to say, but having a solid recall would have saved many more. Brent and I have heard your concerns and we're here to help.
We figured what better way to go over the many facets of developing a solid recall than to relive our personal journeys and how we've each come to the conclusions that we have. This episode includes personal stories as to how we found out the hard way that recalls are so important to have down. We discuss the importance of asking your training clients not to jump the gun and try for off-leash if the dog isn't ready. We also discuss some of the methods used to develop a reliable recall. All this and more!
We hope that you find this episode helpful! If you have a suggestion for a topic or something you'd like our take on, please feel free to reach out to us. Our contact info will be listed below. Thanks for listening!
