Lauren is an autogynephilic detransitioner. He experienced significant autoandrophobia from age 5 and ultimately transitioned DIY-style around age 17, yet after about a decade chose to detransition following a change in values and priorities. His desire to reproduce and make a positive long-term contribution precipitated his decision to detransition.

Lauren has been partnered to a trans man for 4 years - married for 2 years - and they are now undergoing IVF to have biological kids together. Their relationship faced significant hardships during Lauren's mindset shifts, detransition, and emergent desire to have kids - but they've remained together and even gotten closer.
