Living alone and living with a partner are two distinct experiences that come with their own set of advantages and challenges. It provides individuals with independence, freedom, and solitude. They have the freedom to make decisions, manage their own space, and establish their own routines. Living with a partner, on the other hand, offers companionship, shared responsibilities, and emotional support. Couples can share the joys and burdens of daily life, build a shared future, and experience a deep sense of connectedness. While both options can be fulfilling, it ultimately depends on individual preferences, lifestyle, and stage of life.

Although I have lived my life as a single woman and I advocate for anyone to experience living solo, I do have to say there are things I do miss about living with a partner. Social media has become a powerful platform for shaping and portraying the concept of living the single life, and it often does so in both enticing and cautionary ways. Of course you’ll see single people post images of exciting adventures, spontaneous travels, and self-discovery projects that paint a compelling picture of single life as liberating and full of possibilities.

On the flip side, social media can also cast a shadow on the single life, as it can sometimes magnify feelings of loneliness or inadequacy. The curated posts of seemingly perfect couples and family moments can create unrealistic expectations, making single individuals question their own happiness. This differences in how social media portrays the single life underscores the complex interplay between reality and perception in the digital age, where it's essential to remember that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the screen.

So on this episode, I’ll be sharing my experience and the struggles I have living as a single woman. For the most part, living alone has it’s perks, however there are things that single people don’t tell you and I’m one of those few who will tell you the negative side of living alone.
