Hey everybody,
Mariano here! Brent and I want to thank you for your support. We've been reaching out to trainers of all different viewpoints and methods. This is mainly because we notice the crazy amount of anger and vitriol that trainers of different beliefs can sling toward each other. The most popular examples of this are the two major "factions" in dog training today, force-free and balanced trainers.
With this all being said, we have been looking into a way to open a line of dialogue between these two ideals. We figured the podcast was an excellent way to do exactly that! We, therefore, have a homework assignment for each of you. Please help us reach out to pure-positive trainers who you can think of who may be willing to have a civil conversation about where the training methods agree and disagree. We recorded this episode to serve as a sort of preparation for us and our listeners, We've based the topics of this episode on our current understandings of training as well as our current understandings of the arguments presented from both sides. We're happy with the result, nonetheless, we know that there's no substitute for good ol' conversation to help us understand the divide. Thanks for listening!
