In this episode, I sit down with the inspiring Jordan Carter & Cydnie Smith -McCarthy. Jordan Carter is the Co-founder of Produce Portland with a history in developing many brands and businesses. Cydnie Smith -McCarthy has her second time on the show, this time sharing her story around starting up Drink Mamey.
I also cover in the prologue a little about the Portland Black-owned business scene. Giving a rough number of how many Black-owned businesses there are, compared to the rest of the business.
I talk about how that plus, the massive changes going on in the Albina district which is the historical portland black neighborhood. Can make it hard for black businesses and black Portlanders to feel connected.
