Lopori is a bonobo therian. As a child, she would sometimes pretend to be a caveman. During adolescence, her penchant for apeness developed into fascination with primates and she desired to be one herself, a process which ultimately culminated in bonobo identity.

Lopori administered a survey on alterhumanity and sexuality to the otherkin and therian communities, which was indispensable for the otherkin chapter of my book. She was kind enough to join me for this conversation to share about her transspecies experiences, thoughts on nonhuman identity, and results from her survey.
