Have you ever noticed that your mood shifts with the changes in the seasons? Have you ever noticed that you feel more sad or low in winter, or anxious or agitated in the summer? If yes, you may be facing the challenging effects of SAD: Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Join my colleague us as we dive into SAD: Seasonal Affective Disorder. SAD is most commonly seen as the winter blues, bringing with it common symptoms of depression to include low energy, depressed mood, isolation, irritability, low motivation, and loss of interest or pleasure in the things we once loved doing. The difference between the two: it changes based on the time of the year. SAD can be a challenge that many of us face, but we do not have to white knuckle through it. There are many support tools available to help your mood and experience with the transition of the seasons to feel smooth and peaceful. Let us share what you can do today to prevent the fall/winter blues next month!
If you find this episode, or any of our other episodes, helpful to you, please share with those that you love! Let us know what you think about what you want us to talk about next by emailing us at [email protected]!
In two weeks, we discuss trust: what trust actually means, how it is built, and how to maintain it! Later topics include: loneliness, the impacts of mental health on physical health, parenting, navigating finances as a partnership, self-acceptance, compassion in couples, neurodivergence, navigating milestones as a couple, and so much more!
