Self-care is often associated with pampering oneself externally – indulging in spa treatments, taking relaxing  baths, or enjoying a peaceful walk in nature. However, true self-care is much more than just external indulgences. It's about nurturing both the external and internal aspects of our well-being to achieve a harmonious balance in life.

Externally, self-care involves practices that cater to our physical health and appearance. Taking care of our external selves not only contributes to our physical health but also boosts our confidence and self-esteem, allowing us to present our best selves to the world.

However, self-care goes beyond the surface level. It also nurture our internal well-being – our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Cultivating self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-love are essential aspects of internal self-care.

In today's fast-paced and demanding world, prioritizing self-care is crucial for maintaining overall well-being and preventing burnout. By taking the time to nurture both our external and internal selves, we can cultivate resilience, inner peace, and a deeper connection with ourselves and others. Self-care is not selfish; it's a necessary investment in our health, happiness, and fulfillment.

If you don’t know by now, I am not a surface level type of person. I love going into depth when it comes to conversations to understand the deeper meaning of everything and everyone I am surrounded by. When I hear self care, I only hear from people that they take care of themselves externally. As for me, I want to make sure that I am taking care of myself both externally and internally.
