Our brain's job is to keep us alive. It is simply searching for threats and so it can tell us when and where to run when that tiger comes. So no, it's not searching for the light at the end of the tunnel, it's looking at the tunnel, all the "what ifs", the dreadful worst-case scenarios, and all the potential dangers. Yay brain! But once we understand that this is how our brain works, then we don't need to avoid those thoughts or to try to shut them down, but to take them for what they are. Thoughts. Not facts or reality. So how do we do that?
Join us with Dr. Jessica Clinical and Health Psychologist, to find out how to become aware of your thoughts and recognize (and stop) the patterns that keep you stressed.
