A lot to unpack here. Lots of hot-button, provocative, and intense conversations. From abuse, to mass shootings, to sibling differences.

I feel like there are so many topics we shy away from. What if they disagree? What if they think a different way?

I think that by not having these high-pressure conversations we only perpetuate the problems that exist in the world. We HAVE to be able to talk about the things that bother us, the things we believe in, and the things that we are unsure about.

That is how progress is made.

I think one of the biggest flaws in our society is we look at these discussions as arguments to win instead of people to be understood and to be helped.
