Do you feel grateful whether good or bad things happen? 

Brother Bo. Sanchez said in one of his books that, "Life is not a pick-and-choose buffet where you can put just those things you like most on your plate. Life is more like a sealed container of strawberries. You have to take all of what you get — the sour and the sweet."

Indeed, it's quite hard to still be grateful amidst awful circumstances. But we have to cling to God's faithfulness believing that everything happens for a reason, and with a grateful heart, we can be at peace that God is still working even during the times that we don't understand what's happening.
