What are we talking about when we talk about impassibility and passibility? What is meant be saying God feels things; be it love, pain, anger, compassion? Does God suffer like we suffer? How are we to understand God’s internal emotions? Did God really suffer on the cross? Can an immutable, perfect God be said to suffer and experience emotions like humans do?
This week the Curious team will unravel the deeply intricate issue of God’s impassibility/passibility. To what extent does God feel and how and in what way? And how do we deal with text that speak plainly of God’s emotions? And in what way are we to understand the sufferings of Jesus in the context of God’s essence? All this and more will be the focus of this week’s episode!
