Let me explain.  Humans are predisposed to confirmation bias - we subconsciously seek out people and perspectives similar to our own. We are creatures of habit and relish in the safety and security of our domains.  So what happens when covid comes along and disrupts that?  As we attempt to rebuild the new normal we have an unprecedented opportunity to rebuild better than before.
