I have definitely experienced this as an immigrant who has left both the country of his birth and upbringing and David also has experience with the feeling, especially in his recent move to a completely new state. He and I discuss definitions of loneliness, identifying it, coping mechanisms, stories, and other thoughts we draw from our experiences.
