Trauma can begin within the womb or happen anytime in life. It hangs in the shadows, waiting for our hardest or darkest moments to rear its ugly head. Trauma, as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), can dramatically alter our lives, taking over the way we feel, obstructing the way relate with others, coloring the way we interact with our environment, disrupting our sleep, dominating our thinking, and hijacking us so many other ways. You did not choose your traumatic experience(s), nor did you choose the symptoms that came after. We are here to help you see a way through that trauma to recapture your control, joy, and life.
Join us as we hold space for trauma and PTSD, offering insights into why some experience trauma/PTSD and others don’t, tips for moving forward, and gentle guidance for supportive loved ones of those who have experienced trauma. Trauma is powerful but it does not have to determine the next chapter of your life. Let us help you begin to heal.
If you find this episode, or any of our other episodes, helpful to you, please share with those that you love! Let us know what you think about what you want us to talk about next by emailing us at [email protected]!
In two weeks, we welcome another guest, Michelle Becker, to breakdown compassion in couples and why it matters. Later topics include: parenting, self-acceptance, myths of therapy, neurodivergence, navigating milestones as a couple, how to have tough conversations, self-awareness in relationships, and so much more!
