Words matter. Words actually have meaning. Be mindful of the words you speak and the message you give. In recent comments, Jay-Z explains that police brutality is due to the absence of a father at home. I find this rhetoric to be extremely dangerous. Rather than blaming the alarming rates of police brutality against unarmed black men on the police who uses unnecessary aggressive force and their racial bias to act, Jay-Z puts the blame on the singe parent household.
