Help Me I'm Human! with Connie Rose

EP5 Perfection, and the dangers of losing your self-care routine.

Listen Later

With specific work, the brain gets more and more rewired over time, but if you stop going to the brain gym (self-care, especially meditation) the old patterns if still dormant like an old computer program can start to show signs of firing up again, this doesn't mean your brain hasn't changed, it's just old network system that you can be aware of, through the practice of meditation and being the observer, you can catch it quickly, and return back to the self-care brain gym.
I've had a consistent meditation practice of at least 30 minutes a day for many years, then when isolated in France with no distractions I started doing 2-3 hours a day of Breathwork and meditation, but when I re-entered society my perfectionism crept in when that amount of self-care was more challenging to fit in, so I started to avoid it and lost my consistency. I was putting too much pressure on myself to do the same as what I did in France. I started to lose myself and I saw myself falling into submissive and more perfectionist tendencies. And any time I have started to lose myself, I have not been meditating and practicing self-care consistently.
In this episode I cover:
The importance of a self-care routine.
How perfectionism holds us back, and what to do about it.
How to lose weight easily.
How to heal from anxiety, addiction, and eating disorders.
Ego, attachment, acceptance, and old patterns.
Lessons from the Universe.
Past life connections?
Standing in your power rather than submission.
How to recognize relationship patterns and heal karmic bonds.
My spiritual perspective on 2020.
