The core tenet of this show is to bring you ideas, people and insights that can help you unlock more of your potential.
Sometimes it’s inspiring examples of people that have achieved amazing things, sometimes it’s people that bring amazing clarity to what’s needed to do amazing things and live an extraordinary life…on your terms.
I was reminded recently of one of the stark data points that exist on living life to the fullest and that is the greatest regret of people at the end of their life.
This is often described as “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.“
And isn’t that so true.
The most fundamental difference between people who are deeply fulfilled and those that are miserable or regretful, is that their life conditions matched their expectations of themselves.
Yet as our world seems to move with more pace, more urgency, more demands and more choice than ever before, it’s not easy to make the tough decisions to make big changes to get in more alignment.
So coming back to that greatest regret…it’s not that I just lived life true to myself…it’s specifically “I wish I had the COURAGE to live a life true to myself”
Courage — is so much easier to say that to act with at times.
There’s no doubt that some of the biggest changes or risks I’ve taken — moving countries, changing careers, ending relationships — required courage because I was freaking out when I thought about doing what I wanted to do.
And as you embark on the year ahead, I want you to act with more courage and really go for what you really, really want.
To help you with that, I’m super excited to bring you today’s guest, Billy Anderson.
When I think of courage, I think of Billy.
He is a genuine expert on helping people breakthrough their fears and creating a life that is true to them.
He has so many nuggets of wisdom in this episode, you’ve got to grab your pen and be ready to take notes. I think this is a podcast you’ll want to listen to more than once.
Enjoy the conversation…
