So I grabbed a dear friend and former colleague to explore this sometimes controversial topic. Being a Strong Woman: Compliment or Nah?! Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the need to have a certain type of strength to maneuver in this world as a female, especially as a Black female. But, I also want to ensure that I am able to have helpmates within my family, circle, businesses and more if needed. There is no shame in asking for help but, if we always exude the facade to everyone that we are so strong that help is not needed - then guess what? Help will not come! So is being Strong a compliment or is it a title given to us that we must endure so much alone that we hinder the very help that could compliment the strength within us?! Let’s get into this topic with my dear friend, Podcaster, and Entrepreneur, Kamesha Milton! Yea, this topic good y'all!
