The remaining scouts surround Armin as he comes to consciousness and they explain to him the events of that day. Hange, Eren, Mikasa and Levi make their way to the basement recalling the horror of their childhoods in Shiganshina. In the basement they find a hidden compartment unlocked by Eren's key, containing three small books and a photograph with a note explaining that people outside the walls live in luxury. Nile tells the council about Erwin's theory of people beyond the walls. In the post credits we see a flying airship and a modern city where young Grisah Jeager and his sister, clad in armbands, begin to venture beyond the walls of the internment zone.
