A young Grisha is punished for leaving the internment zone and his younger sister is killed by Marleyean security. Vowing to be more than his cowardly father Grisha is recruited into the Eldian Restorationist movement led by the Owl--a faceless operative deep within Marley's military.  Grisha meets and marries Dina Fritz, the last known royal on the continent, and bears his son Zeke. When the restorationists discover that they, and Marley, have the same goal of recovering the founding titan power within the walls, they volunteer their young son to become a warrior recruit. Zeke turns his parents into the authorities and the restorationists are all sent to become titans in Paradis. Eren awakens, crying in prison where he recalls the titan who ate his mother was once Dina Fritz. Grisha witnesses Kruger transform and destroy the Marleyean guard.
