Time With God 

How many of you?

• Always feel busy 
  • Kids, work, school, extracurricular activities, home makers 
• don’t spend time with Christ? 
  • Praying, reading his word, soaking 
• How many of that do we actually do in the day, verses all the other things that we do in the day that just takes up out time? 
  • Facebook scrolling, instagram, twitter, YouTube, tictok, 
• Lets try to reflect on our day, and find the leasiure times when we are not doing anything.  
• Luke 10:38-42:  Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village.  And a women named Martha welcomed him into her house.  She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.  But Martha was distracted with much serving.  And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?  Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.  Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” 
• All God wants from us is our time.  

Clarification

• This is not for God, but for us. 
• Matthew 11:28:  Then Jesus said, “ Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
• There is no perfect way to do this, and no exact structure, work it into your day as best as you can
• Actually try to do it.  
• Psalm 44:21- God would surely have known it , for he knows the secrets of every heart. 
• Spending time with him is for the good and the bad times in our lives.  

But how?

• Pick a time today that you think will work best for you
• Pick how long can you or do you want to put aside? 
• Morning or night?
• Know who God made you to be. 
• Use what is best comfortable for you to do 
  • Don’t think only one way of spending time with christ 
  • Online resources 
  • Podcast 
  • Bible apps 
  • Worship 
  • Prayer
