I stepped into an epic conversation with Johnell Lawrence, an educator, advocate and absolute powerhouse based in New York City. Johnell has been front lining during the Corona Virus with all things health, especially within the black community, and takes pride and pleasure standing up and using their voice to talk educate others on white privilege, supremacy, racism & asking those important questions of;

Are you an accomplice?

 

We delve into why this isn’t new; “What they’re saying isn’t new - the choir didn’t just turn up on Memorial Day 2020, the choir has been there - generations upon generations.”

 

We talk about turning down the volume, listening in, understanding. Johnell simplifies it down, for you to ask yourselves the questions and get doing the work.
