About the guest speaker:

Aman Bezreh is an intelligence analyst and political risk consultant. She has been covering political and military developments in the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa for over a decade. Aman's specific focus lies in the analysis of Al-Qaeda and Islamic State VEOs within the Sahel region, alongside armed political factions and self-defense groups that operate in the same area.

Aman has contributed to several regional and international media outlets, publishing in Arabic, English, and French.

Currently, Aman is a political risk consultant to companies based in London and Lisbon, assisting them in making strategic decisions and forming partnerships based on her intelligence and due diligence reports. Aman provides travel risk analyses to her clients operating in Nigeria, Djibouti, and Sudan.

She has worked as an investigative journalism consultant for Open Democracy for over four years, training over 70 journalists and activists from across the MENA region in investigative techniques and cybersecurity. Aman has an interest in the socio-political reasons that lead to radicalization and has contributed to the paper 'Understanding The Rising Cult of Suicide Bombers'. Her bylines include articles analysing military capabilities, jihadi trends, and analyses of the regional and global implications of jihadi activities.
