When we first met for our interview, I was immediately taken aback by her poise and confidence. So much so, that I found it unnerving. Somehow, I felt exposed being near someone with that kind of silent and still strength.

Yet, she is as sweet and genuine, as she is strong. Like her voice…

Speak softly and carry a big stick; as they say.

Camila’s story is full of love, family, cultural pride and a few dramatic twists thrown into the plot:

Such as working as a professional violinist, and falling in love with another master….singing.

As she puts it, “the violin is beautiful, but vocalists have words”.
