In her stunning collection of photographs, HER: Meditations on Being Female, she explores and challenges the depiction of women's experiences as daughters, mothers, partners, and agents of their own destinies. Salvaterra’s Exhibitions Include: Making Pictures Of People: The Nelson-Atkins Museum / Flak Photo; Nuit De Images: Musee D’Elysee; Solo Exhibits At The Griffin Museum Of Photography; Ralph Pucci Los Angeles, NYC & Miami; JDC Fine Art, San Diego; Clark-Oshin Gallery, Los Angeles; Month Of Photography Los Angeles. Her Work Was Included In The George Eastman House Museum Auction At Sotheby’s, New York, PDN’s Emerging Photographers, Black And White Magazine UK And She Was Runner-Up For The 2009 And The 2010 Berenice Abbott Prize For Emerging Photographers And A Finalist For Critical Mass.
