"Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the mountains where we learn not just how to shred, but how to live. We thank You for the friendship between Robin and me, and for the vulnerability shared in this conversation.
Lord, we bring to You our 'sorry mentality' that so often fills our mouths. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:14 that we are 'fearfully and wonderfully made.' Help all of us to believe that we are enough exactly as we are—even when we fall, even when we are slow, and even when we make mistakes. Teach us to replace our apologies for taking up space with gratitude for the journey You have us on.
When frustration rises on the slopes or in life, remind us of James 1:4: 'Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.' Grant us the patience and help us put in time becoming the rider we want to be. Help us to see that frustration is not a sign of failure, but a sign that we are growing into something new.
For the moments of fear that Robin and I discussed, we lean on Your promise in Isaiah 41:10: 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.' Whether we are standing at the top of a challenging run or facing a difficult decision, let us feel Your steadying hand on our snowboards.
Soften our internal voices, Lord. May we speak to ourselves with the same kindness and grace that You extend to us every single drop.
In Jesus' name, Amen."
