In this episode, we discuss Re CAE's innovative strategies and technologies aimed at promoting space sustainability. We also discuss the challenges posed by the growing accumulation of debris in Earth's orbit, the potential risks to satellites and space missions, and how Re CAE is leading the charge in developing solutions to mitigate these threats.
About the guest speakers:
Agnes Chan, co-founder of Re CAE, holds dual Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Fluid Dynamics from France, and earned her PhD in computational physics for aerodynamics from CEA, France. She has also collaborated on renewable energy projects, before launching RE CAE.
Thibault Bridel-Bertomeu, co-founder and CTO, has dual Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE-Supaero and the University of Michigan and received his PhD in numerical fluid dynamics from CNES. With years of experience leading a research software team at CEA, France, he has significantly contributed to orbital mechanics and atmospheric reentry computations. He also has experience as a core software engineer in an AI startup, enhancing his expertise in innovative technologies. His work on the Immersed Boundary Method for hypersonic flow is integral to Re CAE’s core technology.
