Nelufar Hedayat is a 30 year old award-winning journalist who migrated with her family to Britain from Afghanistan when she was six years old. She was illegally trafficked out of war-torn Afghanistan through Pakistan and Saudi Arabia before reaching the U.K.
Currently, she is a correspondent for Doha Debates, which examines critical global issues through live debates, digital videos, blogs and Nel's podcast “Course Correction.” Since 2018, Doha Debates have held 7 live events about urgent global topics such as the global refugee crisis, gender inequality and more.
