About the guest speaker:

Kaori Becerril is an industrial designer specializing in strategic design and future thinking. She studied at UNAM and Hanyang University and has further training in Space Mission Design with Open Cosmos and Futures Thinking from The Futures School. Kaori has worked across sectors such as space, healthcare, and education, collaborating with organizations like the Mexican Space Agency, SGAC, the Moon Village Association, and ODIS - Design for Space.

She has held roles such as Chief Design Officer at Dereum Labs and has been a panelist and speaker for the Mexican Space Agency, UNAM, and UACH, as well as a mentor for the NASA Space Apps Challenge since 2019. Kaori has facilitated workshops for the World Design Organization-ISS National Lab and the Moon Village Association and authored a paper presented at the International Astronautical Congress 2021. Kaori continues to promote the role of creative disciplines in the space industry through her collaborations with the Designers in Space Community and ODIS Design for Space.
