In this message, Paul reveals that the goal of the gifts given in Acts was that all believers might come into unity regarding what they believed, that they would no longer be minors blown about by every doctrinal wind, but might be true, and in everything be growing up into Christ the head. The body grows in all things into the head, but what does this odd illustration mean? They are not to walk as the nations walk: in futility of mind, callousness of heart, and hedonism in their deeds. Instead, they should strip off this old way of living like dirty clothes.
