This morning, we want to look at the larger context of the Book of Ephesians. Who wrote it? Who was it written to? What was happening historically when the book was written? In other words, we want to establish the CONTEXT for the entire Book of Ephesians this morning. We want to consider some overarching truths and themes contained in the book, before we begin a deeper verse by verse dive starting next week. What is this book all about and why should we study it in detail? Tune in this morning to find out…
EPHESIANS:
Do you know who you are? NOT, where you are from? NOT, whose family you are a part of? NOT, what your personality type is? Do you, as a believer, know WHO YOU ARE? The study of the Book of Ephesians will answer that question for you. In short – You are a full-fledged child of God who has been placed IN unchanging union with Jesus Christ. Believers need to HEAR this truth often, BE REMINDED of this truth continually, and the great truths of our position IN Jesus Christ need to dominate our THINKING. This is essential to our ongoing HEALTH as a believer in Jesus Christ. Join us as we continually ask the question: “Are you possessing your possessions?”
