On this episode Shep comes back to clear the air about the interesting opinions he shared with us when he joined us for EPI 14: That’s Boots. Since our women listeners were picketing his existence immediately after L O L we felt it would be good to discuss this feedback and dig a little deeper into where he’s coming from. Jay-Z’s apologetic and reflective song 4:44, as well as the accompanying mini-doc Footnotes, ended up serving as the backdrop to the entire discussion and what we learned was enlightening. Throughout the conversation we learn that Shep agrees with Jay’s standpoint that men have a tough time giving love because they weren’t taught HOW to love, as well as some other interesting things. It was quite the revealing talk we had, one that also forced us as women to confront some of our enabling behaviours.
