Anneliese Michel was born on September 21, 152, to a strict Roman Catholic Family. Starting at age 16, Anneliese started suffering from seizures & increasingly got worse. After visiting some doctors, she was diagnosed with epileptic psychosis (temporal lobe epilepsy). However, her psychiatric treatment ended up proving ineffective. Her family and members of the church believed Annelise was possessed by demons & needed an exorcism. Annelise abandoned further doctor's appointments & instead relied on guidance from the priests involved. Anneliese underwent 67 Catholic exorcisms over a 10-month period. It was believed that she was possessed by 6 Demons who tormented & controlled her life. Ultimately, she died, and it was ruled as malnutrition. Because of this, her parents & priests involved were convicted of negligent homicide. To this day, many people continue to argue whether or not Anneliese Michel was really possessed or someone who suffered from a severe neurological disorder
